Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Packaging, Engineering or a related Science field.
Minimum 5 years of experience in new package development/technology transfer in Client, food, or pharmaceutical companies. Experience in Package design, manufacturing, and project management experience strongly preferred.
Provides direction in a range of projects covering new package development, materials selection, manufacturing process/site changes, and continuous improvement opportunities.
Knowledge of supplier qualification processes.
Knowledge of plastic bottles, flexible packaging, closure systems, corrugate components, cartons and labeling for consumer products.
Ability to work cross-functionally to influence multi-functional teams in a fast-paced environment while meeting timelines .
The ability to prioritize multiple constantly evolving priorities with minimal direction is required.
Knowledge of ISTA packaging and other packaging and shipping standards.
GMP experience strongly preferred.
Job Functions:
This role will require creating and approving specifications, documentation, package line trials and package testing to support product release
Apply packaging engineering principles to execute the proper design, qualification and implementation of Primary/Secondary/Tertiary Packaging components and the associated systems such as documentation, equipment and processes.
Maintain a database of packaging guidelines and specifications along with item drawings for all approved packaging.
Support line trials and packaging validation activities prior to the introduction of any new or change in components/processes
Technical Leadership skills are required
