Job Description :
Setting up and operating different machines, running and monitoring the output of machine tools, a highly automated manufacturing cell or process.
Working on or monitoring the output of an automated assembly line or assembly station.
Know the manufacturing process in great detail, troubleshooting at an appropriate level and involving senior members of staff if/when they are not able to correct the problem.
Monitor and check the product quality as they will be responsible for identifying when the process is deviating from the norm and taking action to correct it.
Maintain accurate and clear documentation that proves that manufacturing is being carried out in accordance with both internal and external quality systems or regulations.
It is important that procedures are followed, but it is also important that it can be shown and proved that procedures were followed.
Key Responsibilities:
PLC Programming:
Set up, program, and troubleshoot PLC-based systems to ensure optimal machine performance.
Collaborate with engineering teams to modify and enhance existing PLC programs as needed.
Pipe Cutting:
Operate bandsaws to cut pipes to specified lengths and dimensions, ensuring precision and adherence to safety standards.
Maintain the bandsaw and related equipment, performing routine inspections and maintenance as required.
Delivery and Inventory Management:
Safely transport finished products and materials to designated areas within the facility.
Assist in managing inventory levels by tracking materials used and notifying supervisors of any shortages.
Record Keeping:
Accurately document work performed, including production quantities, machine settings, and any issues encountered during operations.
Maintain logs and reports to ensure compliance with quality standards and internal procedures.
Collaboration and Communication:
Work closely with team members and supervisors to meet production goals and ensure quality standards are met.
Participate in team meetings and contribute to process improvement initiatives.
Required Skill Set :
High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree or certification in manufacturing, engineering, or a related field is preferred.
Proven experience as a Manufacturing Technician or in a similar role, with a focus on PLC programming and machinery operation.
Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings and specifications.
Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
Familiarity with safety protocols and best practices in a manufacturing environment.
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift and move heavy materials (up to (insert weight)) as needed.
Comfort working in a manufacturing environment with exposure to machinery and equipment.
Education Qualification :
Minimum High School Diploma or equivalent
