Title: Systems Engineer/Administrator

Location: Middletown, CT (HYBRID 2 Days in office)

Salary: $95,000 – $115,000 +Bonus


We’re seeking a talented Systems Engineer/Administrator to help manage and maintain our IT infrastructure. If you’re passionate about technology, enjoy solving complex problems, and thrive in a collaborative environment, this is the perfect opportunity for you!


What You’ll Do:

  • Manage and maintain VMware vSphere infrastructure, including ESXi hosts, vCenter Server, and virtual machines.
  • Administer Active Directory domain services, including user and group management, group policies, and DNS.
  • Create and maintain documentation for system configurations, procedures, and service records.
  • Provide escalated support and troubleshooting for back-end systems and advanced data integration issues.
  • Implement and enforce security best practices for the domain environment.
  • Plan and execute system upgrades (occasionally after hours) while monitoring progress to completion.
  • Implement and manage backup and disaster recovery solutions for the Windows environment.
  • Monitor system health via logs, performance metrics, and alerts.
  • Collaborate with IT teams to support infrastructure needs across multiple projects.


What You Bring:

  • Proficiency in VMware vSphere administration.
  • Strong expertise in Windows Server administration (Active Directory, DHCP, DNS, and Group Policy).
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • A collaborative mindset with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • The drive to be a technical resource for your colleagues and share your expertise.


What We’re Looking For:

  • Education: BA/BS with 3–6+ years of experience
  • MA/MS with 2–5+ years of experience, or relevant work experience.
  • A passion for technology and the ability to take ownership of critical infrastructure.
