Job Overview:
Our client, a leader in the healthcare construction sector, is seeking an experienced Construction Project Manager to oversee large-scale healthcare projects valued at $50 million and above. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience managing ground-up construction projects for healthcare facilities such as hospitals, clinics, and medical office buildings. This role requires a deep understanding of the complexities of healthcare construction, including compliance with regulatory standards, infection control protocols, and specialized building systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage all phases of healthcare construction projects, from pre-construction planning through project close-out.
- Develop comprehensive project plans, including detailed schedules, budgets, and resource allocations.
- Oversee ground-up construction activities, ensuring adherence to design specifications and quality standards.
- Collaborate with architects, engineers, and healthcare professionals to ensure project designs meet functional and operational requirements.
- Monitor project progress, addressing any deviations to keep projects on track and within budget.
- Ensure strict compliance with healthcare regulations, infection control requirements, and safety protocols.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field; or equivalent work experience.
- 7+ years of experience as a Construction Project Manager, with a focus on healthcare construction projects.
- Demonstrated experience managing ground-up projects valued at $50 million or more.
- In-depth knowledge of healthcare construction processes, building codes, and specialized systems (e.g., HVAC, medical gas, and electrical systems).
- Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Microsoft Project, Primavera P6) and construction management tools (e.g., Procore).
