Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Director of New Construction to oversee and manage all aspects of our new construction projects, specifically focusing on mid-rise developments . This role requires a strategic leader who can drive projects from concept to completion, ensuring adherence to budget, timelines, and quality standards while actively managing on-site operations.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Management: Lead and manage multiple mid-rise construction projects simultaneously, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
  • On-Site Oversight: Direct on-site operations, coordinating with construction teams, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure efficient workflow and adherence to safety protocols.
  • Strategic Planning: Develop and implement strategies for new construction initiatives that align with company goals and objectives.
  • Team Leadership: Build and lead a high-performing team, providing guidance, mentorship, and performance evaluations.
  • Budget Oversight: Prepare, monitor, and manage project budgets, ensuring financial accountability and reporting to senior management.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Collaborate with internal teams, external partners, contractors, and vendors to ensure project alignment and resolve any issues that arise.
  • Compliance and Quality Assurance: Ensure all construction activities comply with local regulations, safety standards, and company policies.
  • Risk Management: Identify potential project risks and develop mitigation strategies to minimize impact.
  • Market Analysis: Stay informed about industry trends, materials, and technologies to drive innovation in mid-rise construction practices.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 5-10 years of experience in construction management, with a focus on mid-rise construction projects.
  • Proven experience in a leadership role, managing teams and large-scale projects on-site.
  • Strong knowledge of construction processes, building codes, and safety regulations.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
  • Proficient in project management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
