Key Responsibilities:
- Utility Accounting: Manage and oversee accounting processes specific to the utility industry, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
- Contract Review: Review and analyze contracts to ensure financial terms are accurate and beneficial to the company.
- Financial Analysis & Reporting: Conduct thorough financial analysis and prepare detailed reports to support decision-making processes.
- Journal Entry Preparation: Prepare and post journal entries accurately and in a timely manner.
- FERC & Fixed Asset Management: Maintain and manage fixed asset records in compliance with FERC regulations.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Experience reviewing others' work
- Minimum of 10+ years of experience in utility accounting and financial consulting.
- FERC regulations and fixed asset management experience
- Proven experience in contract review and financial analysis.
- Maximo or Oracle EBS Experience
Preferred Qualifications:
- CPA or other relevant certification.
- Experience working in the utility industry.
Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Consultant to join our client, a leading utility provider. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in utility accounting, contract review, financial analysis and reporting, journal entry preparation, and FERC & fixed asset management. This role requires a detail-oriented professional with strong analytical skills and the ability to work collaboratively across departments.
Compensation: $30hr to $40hr. Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education. Benefit packages for this role will start on the 31st day of employment and include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as HSA, FSA, and DCFSA account options, and 401k retirement account access with employer matching.
