A Day in the Life of an Inside Sales Representative
As an Inside Sales Representative, you’ll play a crucial role in driving sales growth and maintaining exceptional customer satisfaction. You’ll research and qualify potential B2B customers, coordinate with internal teams, and support both the inside and outside sales teams to achieve company sales goals. Whether you’re assisting B2C customers with product orders or updating customer files, your efforts will help ensure smooth operations and delighted clients.
Responsibilities include:
- Developing market strategies to meet the company’s sales targets.
- Researching, identifying, and qualifying potential B2B customers.
- Conducting cold calls and email outreach to prospective clients.
- Collecting customer data and maintaining up-to-date customer files.
- Facilitating and confirming product orders through timely communication with customers.
- Assisting the outside sales team with maintaining customer relationships.
- Supporting B2C customers via phone and email, including order entry.
- Collaborating with internal departments to resolve customer issues and improve satisfaction.
- Providing sales feedback and contributing to overall sales growth.
Requirements and Qualifications:
- High school diploma required (4-year college degree preferred).
- 3+ years of B2B sales experience preferred.
- Strong communication and coordination skills with a customer-first mindset.
- Self-motivated, reliable, and team-oriented with excellent problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other computer skills.
- Experience with CRM/ERP systems is a plus.
- Background in technical sales or consumer electronics (experience in motion component industry preferred).
- Fluent in English with strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Limited travel may be required.
