Trucking Standard of Care Expert
Knott Laboratory, LLC is seeking a full-time Trucking Standard of Care Expert. The ideal candidate will have 10+ years of experience in Commercial Trucking Safety, Compliance, Training, and Education. The Trucking Standard of Care Expert will operate as an integral member of the Knott Laboratory Accident Reconstruction Team. Primary job functions include participating in round table discussions with clients, document reviews including trucking standards, policies, procedures, driver training, and driver background, crash analysis, technical report writing, authoring expert opinions, and testifying. Candidates must have exceptional communication skills (oral, written, and non-verbal), be detail oriented and thrive in a high demand role.
Qualifications
- 10+ years’ experience as a Commercial Trucking Safety, Compliance or Education Director
- Class A Commercial Driver’s License holder.
- OSHA General Industry Safety Certificate.
- Certified Director of Training or Certified Director of Safety.
- Extensive knowledge of FMCSA/DOT.
- Certified Instructor Smith System Safe Driving Program.
- Experience investigating commercial vehicle crashes including review of onboard vehicle monitoring systems.
- Understands CDL licensure and ongoing continuing education requirements.
- Extensive knowledge of CMV Regulatory Standards, Compliance Methods, and Safety Techniques.
- Resident of a market in which Knott Laboratory currently operates: Denver, Dallas, Houston, Atlanta, or Phoenix.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work remotely and balance multiple projects.
- Exceptional communication skills and technical writing mastery.

- Salary: $115,000-140,000, commensurate with experience and certifications
