Job Details

Responsibilities:

1. Oversee daily operations of the machine shop, ensuring all activities align with our company's quality standards, safety regulations, and productivity goals.
2. Supervise, train, and mentor machine shop staff, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
3. Develop and implement efficient production schedules to meet customer demands and optimize workflow.
4. Oversee 10 CNC Machining Centers -7 Vertical CNC Machines and 3 CNC Lathes
5. Hands-On Managment with ability to Program, Set up, and Operate CNC Machinery with Tight Tolerances
6. Implement and manage quality control programs, regularly inspecting finished products to ensure they meet our stringent quality standards.
7. Stay current with industry trends and advancements in machine shop technology, making recommendations for equipment upgrades or process improvements as appropriate.

Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

1. A minimum of 5 years of experience in a machine shop environment, with at least 2 years in a managerial or supervisory role.
2. Proven expertise in machine shop operations, including familiarity with a wide range of machining equipment and tools.
3. Excellent leadership and team management skills, with a track record of training and mentoring staff to achieve their full potential.
4. Strong knowledge of production scheduling and workflow optimization techniques.
5. Solid understanding of quality control principles and techniques, with experience implementing and managing QC programs.
6. Exceptional problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot equipment issues and optimize production processes.
7. Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with other departments and liaise with customers.
8. Proficiency in computer software, including MS Office and any relevant machine shop software.
9. A commitment to maintaining a safe and productive work environment.
