Our campus includes the medical center itself and a medical office building/outpatient services center connected to the hospital (on the west side of the hospital). Centerpoint Medical Center features 221 private rooms, state-of-the-art equipment and technology, and some of the latest clinical services available to patients. Along with our high-tech services, we also remain focused on providing compassionate care and the best possible customer service for our patients. In addition, we offer numerous features for visitors, including sleeper chairs in patient rooms, comfortable waiting areas, wireless internet access throughout the facility and more. Hospital Features: Level II Trauma Center (only one in eastern Jackson County) with 24/7 Emergency Services An accredited Chest Pain Center and a variety of Cardiovascular Services Orthopedic Services including Total Joints and Sports Medicine An accredited Cancer Program and Breast Center with Nurse Navigator Stroke Center with Joint Commission Primary Stroke Center Certification Neuroscience Services for the treatment of brain and spine disorders as well as injuries Women’s Services, including a Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit to provide care for early or ill newborns, and a labor and delivery unit Outpatient Services, including a surgery center, advanced wound care center, pain center, sleep disorder center, imaging, rehab and more Hospital: HCA Centerpoint Medical Center Location: Independence, Missouri Address: 19600 E. 39 th Street Unit: Progressive Care Unit Building: Main Hospital General Information Unit Specifics: · Number of Beds: 36 · Patient Ratios: 1:3 AM, 1:4 AM or 1:4 PM, 1:5PM (with patient care techs) · Unit staffing description- (unit secretaries and tech availability): Typically, total RN based care with no techs unless stretched. Secretaries are scheduled 7am-7pm in the PCU and are available for a number of resources. · Type of equipment: BiPAP, Heated High-Flow Nasal Cannulas, Alaris IV pumps, Kangaroo Feeding Pumps · Documentation system: Meditech · Scheduling requirements: FT Staff: 36 hours/week with every 3 rd weekend rotation, PT staff: 48 hours/week with every 3 rd weekend rotation, PRN 1 Staff: 3 shifts in a 4-week period with 1 weekend shift requirement, PRN 2 Staff: 6 shifts in a 4-week period with 3 weekend shift requirements. Rotating holiday schedule. · Floating policy: PRN floats 1 time per week, FT/PT staff floats in a rotation based upon dates, bonus shifts always float first · Patient Experience requirements: Bedside shift report, hourly rounding, and daily leadership rounds. Hospital Specifics- · Certifications: Level 2 trauma center, Stroke Accreditation, STEMI Accreditation, Certified Bariatric Center Hiring profile Must have : · REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS: BLS, ACLS · Advanced assessment and critical thinking skills · Management of vasoactive drips List typical procedures performed on unit(s): · Central Line or PICC line placement · Chest tube placements Best personality Fit: · Positive attitude and desire to work as a member of a team Floating Area(s): · Telemetry Unit Dress Code : (Required uniform) · Charcoal grey scrub tops with charcoal grey or black scrub bottoms. · Black or charcoal grey jackets, with the option to order unit specific jackets.
