Role Overview:
The Business Analyst is responsible for collaborating with business and technical teams to define and document requirements for small to medium projects of moderate complexity. This role involves analyzing business processes, managing information flows, and enabling technology solutions, while fostering partnerships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure successful project execution. The Business Analyst leads cross-functional teams from concept to implementation, managing scope, assessing risks, and resolving issues as needed.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Lead requirements management for small to medium projects, including:
- Elicitation for implementation or discovery/RFP.
- Prioritization, verification, and communication.
- Requirements traceability and alignment with business goals.
- Document and align execution of requirements for integrations and dependencies across multiple teams.
- Create process maps (current and future state) to identify optimization or automation opportunities for:
- Functional or cross-functional processes.
- Systems and data flows.
- Establish collaborative partnerships with vendors, stakeholders, delivery teams, and PMO members.
- Act as the Voice of the Customer during project implementation, supporting:
- Development, testing, and release phases.
- Change Management, including user manual and SOP creation.
- Collect and analyze project data to support key metrics and value management.
- Support the Portfolio team with Business Case development and sub-investment documentation.
- Provide post-implementation support during hypercare, hindsighting, and project closure.
- Adapt business, functional, and technical requirements management based on delivery approach (waterfall, agile, hybrid).
- Contribute to process improvements within the Business Analysis framework and standards.
- Execute and provide tactical input to influence key decisions.
Qualifications & Experience:
Required Skills:
- 3+ years of Business Analysis experience, preferably in technical retail environments supporting areas such as:
- Data and analytics management.
- Infrastructure (database, network, security, etc.).
- E-commerce platforms.
- Customer service and warehouse management.
- Marketing technology and order management.
- Point of sale and content management systems.
- Expertise in requirements management, traceability, and business/system process modeling techniques (e.g., use cases, user stories, business rules).
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with adaptability to dynamic situations.
- Experience working on small to medium-scale, cross-functional projects with external vendors.
- Exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, and multitasking capabilities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a focus on influencing leadership and aligning partners.
- Ability to work independently and thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment.

- Tools:
- Atlassian Jira, Confluence.
- Diagramming tools (Miro, Visio, etc.).
- Microsoft 365.
- ServiceNow (SPM module).
- Certifications:
- IIBA CCBA.
- CSM/PSM.
- BPM.
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in business or equivalent combination of education and experience.
