GateSource HR is seeking a skilled and experienced Electrical/Control Engineer to design, implement, and oversee electrical systems and components in alignment with industry standards and customer specifications. The ideal candidate will have a strong electrical engineering background, particularly in medium and low-voltage power distribution systems, as well as expertise in electrical design and project oversight. This position will require relocation and does not provide sponsorship opportunity.
Key Responsibilities:
- Electrical System Design: Design electrical systems, including power distribution, grounding, and motor control, in accordance with industry standards and client specifications.
- Drawing Preparation: Prepare and review single-line diagrams, power/control schematics, cable tray layouts, cable schedules, and routing.
- Client Communication: Meet with clients to define project scope, timelines, milestones, and address any concerns or issues.
- Project Execution: Organize, interpret, and execute projects while adhering to budget and timelines. Ensure the accuracy of all stamped/sealed drawings.
- Project Oversight: Oversee installation, testing, and commissioning of systems during the entire project lifecycle.
- Team Management: Lead and supervise a project team, ensuring project objectives and quality standards are met.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- Licensing: Professional Engineer (PE) license in the state of Alabama or the ability to obtain one quickly.
- Experience with the design and implementation of material handling systems, conveyor systems, and/or bulk handling systems in industrial environments.
- Proven experience in medium and low-voltage power distribution.
- Hands-on experience with motor control centers (MCCs), electrical room design, and power/control schematics.
- Previous experience in overseeing projects and managing teams.
