We are actively recruiting Construction managers (Owner Authorized representative) to support the Los Angeles Unified School District (LAUSD) . These roles provide an exciting opportunity to lead impactful projects through all phases of construction, contributing to the growth and modernization of educational facilities. Candidates should have a minimum of 10 years of full-time paid professional experience in Construction and/or Project Management of commercial or public/educational facilities. At least 3 years should be on managing projects valued over $10 million with full responsibility for scope, budget, and delivery. Additionally Candidates should have Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Engineering, or Construction Management or a bachelor’s degree in any field plus Certified Construction Manager (CCM) credential.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all project phases : pre-construction, bidding, construction, and close-out activities.
  • Review pre-construction documents and coordinate feedback with designers.
  • Develop and present status reports to upper management, tracking project progress and risks.
  • Collaborate with public agencies and internal District staff to align with off-site and on-site project needs.
  • Manage budgets and schedules to meet quality standards; provide accurate monthly financial updates.
  • Supervise contractors and manage the construction schedule and deliverables.
  • Review change order proposals to ensure fair pricing and schedule alignment.
  • Coordinate the delivery of fixtures, furniture, and equipment required for project completion.
  • Administer professional service agreements between the District and architects.
  • Facilitate project certification with the Division of State Architects (DSA) and oversee financial close-out.
  • Perform additional duties as needed to ensure the success of the project.


Preferred Skills & Experience:

  • Experience with Design-Build projects.
  • Familiarity with Building Information Modeling (BIM) .
  • Background in LEED-certified projects or the Collaborative for High-Performing Schools (CHPS) .
  • OSHA 30 certification and knowledge of safety regulations.
  • DSA construction and design process expertise.

Salary Range: $120K - $140K
