Source One is a consulting services company and we’re currently looking for the following individual to work as a consultant to our direct client, a global medical device company in Fort Worth, TX.


Job Title: Inspection Technician II (Contractor)

Pay Rate Range: $26.46/hr - $32.72/hr (W-2)

Schedule: 40 hours, Monday-Friday (need to have flexibility for different shifts - based on business needs)

Duration: 12 months with possible extension


Please note this individual will need to work flexible hours during the week with the possibility of OT (paid as time and a half). The shifts will depend on business needs.


Description: The Inspection Technician Associate works in the areas of inspection or quality test of products within the surgical instrumentation and quality organization. Perform quality inspections to standard AQLs. Tasks will typically be interpreting blueprints, sketches, drawings, manuals, specifications and geometric dimensioning and tolerance in order to qualify parts into stock locations.


Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

- Inspect purchased parts, assemblies, hardware, special processes and materials for conformance to engineering requirements and specifications.

- Examine items for defects in materials, work and damage occurring in transit.

- Compare quantity and part number of items received with purchasing data and other specifications to ensure completeness and accuracy of order.


Must Haves:

- Experience in manufacturing inspection, repair, test, or quality with demonstrated hands-on electromechanical testing, preferred within a medical device industry.

- Experience using CMM, Optical Comparator, Height gages, V-Blocks, Thread Gages, Micrometers and Calipers

- Experience performing First Article Inspections

- High School Diploma or equivalent

- The ability to fluently read, write, understand, and communicate in English

- 1-3 year of relevant experience (need someone to hit the ground running)
