Job Description

A top company you know is urgently hiring for a Senior Electrical Engineer.

The Senior Digital Engineer is responsible for designing and implementing electronic hardware systems, focusing on analog and high-speed digital sub-systems. Key duties include circuit design, schematic capture, modeling, PCB layout, component selection, and prototype testing. The role involves writing test code, supporting low-level hardware driver development, and ensuring designs meet safety, regulatory, and performance standards.

The engineer will also guide junior team members, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and contribute to product validation and troubleshooting. Success in this role requires a self-motivated individual with strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively within a team.

Responsibilities:

  • Designs and implements analog and digital electronic circuits.
  • Performs circuit simulation and circuit reliability evaluation.
  • Proposes and drives technical solutions that best satisfy the technical, financial, manufacturability, quality, and time-to-market constraints and requirements.
  • Participates in design reviews and provides design feedback to peers and design partners.
  • Creates and documents test plans for design qualification.
  • Develops and conducts analysis of audio electronics components and systems.
  • Drives and achieves results that meet aggressive time and cost constraints
  • Carries out design verification and validation activities, documenting detailed findings in the form of qualification report(s)

Qualifications:

  • B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering. Advanced degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience designing, building, and testing analog and digital circuits and related subsystems (e.g. on-board DSP HW, PSUs, microcontrollers, etc.), ideally in commercial or professional audio or audio/video markets.
  • Superior problem-solving skills: issue identification, problem structuring, analysis, and developing recommendations
  • Experience creating cost-effective solutions that meet aggressive product features, cost, quality, performance, and time-to-market requirements.
  • Skilled in computer-based electronic design and PCB layout
  • Proficiency with electronics test and measurement tools (Oscilloscopes, Audio Precision T&M, etc.).
  • Knowledge of microprocessor-based systems
  • Experience with simulation tools
  • VHDL or Verilog experience is a plus
  • Knowledge of regulatory compliance requirements and test methods, including UL, FCC, CE, and others
