About the Company - The Panther Group is seeking a Business Data Analyst with advanced Excel SME skills, with one of our partners in financial services. This role is hybrid (3 days in office) located in New York, NY. This position does not provide sponsorship now or in the future. This is a Direct Hire role and does not permit C2C or C2H.

About the Role - Programming Business CRM Analytics Analyst

Responsibilities

• Organize and maintain key data; provide reporting and analysis for leadership and client-facing producers
• Help drive CRM system enhancements, toolkit buildout, data quality, and user satisfaction
• Assist in the monthly data capture and broker portal process to monetize clients’ service consumption
• Support data-driven, performance review processes with particular focus on equities research and sales.

Technical / Programming Skills

• Must have Advanced Excel; expert knowledge of and experience with built-in excel functions and formulas are a must (older versions required)
• Experience working with Excel VBA / Macros, SQL (Relational databases) preferred
• Python programming on Excel with Openpyxl/Pandas/NumPy is a plus
• Understanding SQL relational datasets to maintain real-time access of valuable data points

Data Management Skills

• Managing CRM systems with focus on improving quality of data captured and analytical capabilities
• Leveraging CRM data to create accurate, valuable reports for senior management and key users
• Understanding Salesforce data model for data capture, reporting, and analytics is a plus
• Synthesizing data sources from outside vendors with internal CRM data to generate meaningful insights

Business Analytics

• Strong critical thinking, including pattern analysis, to execute ad hoc projects for Equities management
• Familiarity with sell-side equity business, key performance metrics, and reporting architecture is a plus

Presentation Development & Support

• Using PowerPoint/Excel to create compelling presentations and visualization of data

General

• Outstanding verbal, written, and interpersonal skills. Conscientious, professional dedicated work ethic
• Excellent attention to detail, accurate, and reliable follow-up skills. Able to multitask with flexible mindset
• Working experience with Salesforce-based CRM system is a plus
• Able to commit to working business hours - 8:00AM-5:00PM
• Is a hybrid work week of in office T/W/R
• Bachelors or Masters degree with a focus on Computer Science, Data Analytics, Information Systems
• 2 - 5 years of financial services as a business CRM with excellent Excel skills, or a technical Excel programmer with F/O business desk experience (internships OK) will be considered

Required Skills - Must have 2-3 yr experienced Excel Data Manipulator SME (needs to be able to get granular with data to be able to analyze data and prepare data sets and case analysis for business units to make business decisions from) is a Business Data Analytics Specialist doing ad-hoc data extraction from multi sources, cleaning of data, analysis, programming, and reporting; deliverable is focused on how to monetize data is a manipulator of data in Excel and a data analyst

Preferred Skills - Experience working with Excel VBA / Macros, SQL (Relational databases) preferred Python programming on Excel with Openpyxl/Pandas/NumPy is a plus Understanding SQL relational datasets to maintain real-time access of valuable data points

Pay range and compensation package - $75K - $90k before 1/4ly paid bonuses (revenue formula off of sales, 15%-30%)
