Responsibilities:
Educator (RN)
Is recognized as a “super user” with all clinical aspects of the EMR and serves as a resource for IPA staff.
Schedules, teaches and leads onboarding education of policies and procedures.
Assists in auditing to ensure knowledge retention.
Serves as a resource and mentor for new staff, providing education and support as appropriate.
Coordinates and/or leads delivery of corporate mandatory in-service education.
Plans and leads General Orientation Program (with support by other department heads).
Helps staff with CEUs.
Coordinates, with management, department-based orientation programs for new staff.
Plans, coordinates, and presents regular and special education sessions for staff to acquaint them with new care management practices, procedures, policies, or skills.
Stays up-to-date on guidelines, regulations and company policies and procedures.
Qualifications:
Educator (RN)
Credentials as a Registered Nurse (RN) with current state license in good standing in the state in which work is performed
Minimum of five (5) years of nursing experience preferred
Minimum of one (1) year of experience in managed care preferred
Knowledge of UASNY assessment and system preferred
Demonstrated computer skills and ability to work with a variety of platforms and applications including Microsoft Office, electronic medical records (EMR) and learning management systems (LMS)
Possession of a bachelor’s degree in nursing (BSN) preferred
Demonstrated experience in education preferred
This position requires regular interaction with residents, coworkers, visitors, and/or supervisors. In order to ensure a safe work environment for residents, coworkers, visitors, and/or supervisors of the Company, and to permit unfettered communication between the employee and those residents, coworkers, visitors, and supervisors, this position requires that the employee be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language at an intermediate or more advanced level.
