Accounts Payable Administrator
Location: Chattanooga, TN

Position Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and self-motivated Accounts Payable Administrator to join our team. In this role, you will play a key part in ensuring financial accuracy and operational efficiency. Key Responsibilities:

Enter accounts payable invoices, ensuring proper classification of expenditures and resolving discrepancies between purchase orders and invoices.
Ensure invoices are entered according to our monthly closing schedule to align with accrual basis accounting.
Compare inventory receipts to invoice dates to ensure accurate system entries and compliance with GAAP.
Code and enter expense reports.
Run biweekly reports in Excel to verify all POs that have been received are entered into the system.
Identify appropriate GL codes for purchased items, including plant supplies, machine repairs, or other categories.
Assist with special projects as assigned.
Assist with the front desk when needed.
Assist with additional responsibilities assigned by management.

Qualifications:

3+ years of previous experience in Accounts Payable in an ERP environment.
Proficient user of Microsoft Excel.
Strong understanding of accrual basis accounting principles and GAAP compliance.
Familiarity with GL codes and the ability to classify purchases accurately.
Ability to work without supervision and to make appropriate decisions.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in work processing.
Self-motivated, flexible team player with the persistence to follow through on commitments in a timely manner.
Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
