    Job Details
  • Cytologists participate in specialized and complex technical tasks involved in the processing and screening of cytological specimens to detect evidence of cancer or other pathological conditions.
  • Ensuring the efficient and accurate testing of patient specimens.
  • Participate in specialized and complex technical tasks involved in screening slides of clinical specimens, both gynecologic and non-gynecologic, for evidence of cancer or other pathological conditions according to departmental terminology and protocols.
  • Perform various Quality Control and Quality Assurance procedures to maintain compliance with internal and external regulations and protocols.
  • Perform rapid on-site evaluation (ROSE) using tele-pathology system in the collection, processing and immediate evaluation of Fine Needle Aspirations.

  • Cyto Tech Experience - Required

  • Experience with EBUS Procedures - Required
  • Experience with ION Procedures - Required
  • Work history Skills Checklist, current to 1 year, pertinent to the specialty
