Interlocal Association is now accepting resumes for a full-time Human Resources Assistant position. Position will be located at the Hancock County WorkOne Office, Greenfield, IN. The Human Resources Assistant position is designed to support the Human Resources Manager with a variety of HR tasks. The Human Resources Assistant main responsibility will be bi-weekly ADP payroll processing for 100 employees and will assist the HR Manager with hiring process, and other administrative duties including submitting job postings online, scheduling candidate interviews, process bi-weekly payroll and maintain employee time records.
Job Summary
The Human Resources Assistant position is designed to support the Human Resources Manager with variety of HR tasks. The Human Resource Assistant will assist HR Manager with hiring process, and other administrative duties including submitting job postings online, scheduling candidate interviews, process bi-weekly payroll and maintain employee time records.
Essential Job Duties
  • Enters, maintains, and/or processes information in the payroll system; information may include employees' hourly rates, WEX enrollments, salaries or other compensation, time worked, paid leave and holidays, deductions and withholding, address changes, and other information.
  • Assist HR Manager with the hiring process, including submitting job postings online, scheduling candidate interviews, and onboarding new staff.
  • Perform administrative work, including scheduling and maintaining files.
  • Coordinate logistics for new hire orientations and employee training.
  • Answers frequently asked questions from applicants and employees relative to standard policies, benefits, and hiring processes.
  • Performs periodic audits of HR files and records to ensure that all required documents are collected and filed appropriately.
  • Assists with planning and execution of annual enrollments and staff evaluations.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Associate degree in HR-related field preferred.
  • 1 year of experience in payroll or in 'ADP-Workforce Now' preferred.
Skills
  • Detail-oriented and organized.
  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
  • Solid understanding of MS Office.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
Physical Requirements
  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Able to lift 15 pounds at times.
