**Job Title: Shipping and Receiving Clerk****Job Description**Prepare materials for shipping by sealing, labeling, and affixing postage using hand tools, power tools, and a postage meter. Contact carrier representatives to issue instructions for the shipping and delivery of materials. Record shipment data such as weight, charges, space availability, and damages/discrepancies for reporting, accounting, and record-keeping purposes. Compute shipping, storage, and demurrage charges using a calculator. Assist in loading/unloading L&S and freight trucks. Organize and maintain the inter-shop shipping area. Prepare shipments in a timely manner, follow all applicable work instructions, and perform vehicle maintenance, including care of forklifts. Receive new products and repair stock on the computer system, print new product orders, and process all incoming/outgoing UPS, FedEx, and freight carrier shipments. Keep the building and surrounding grounds clean and in good condition. Perform other activities as directed by the supervisor. The work environment is very clean, and employees are required to maintain cleanliness and organization. The candidate will work specifically in the large pick segment, which features floor-to-ceiling racks and a wire guidance system.
