Position Summary
Responsible for doing multiple set ups per shift and machining weldments, block work of all sizes, Flame/grind plates, pins, etc. in a timely manner, while maintaining exceptional quality.
Job Responsibilities
- Independently set-up and operate 5 axis CNC machine, to machine parts per print efficiently and accurately;
- Inspects work for conformance to specifications;
- Maintain little to no re-work or scrap;
- Safely operate forklifts and overhead cranes;
- Maintains a satisfactory attendance and punctuality record
- Keep work area clean and organized; and
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
Job Requirements
- 5-7 years minimum experience as a machinist;
- Prior experience setting up and operating HAAS VMC’s and Mazak Lathes.
- High attention to detail and quality;
- A good knowledge base and understanding of M and G code;
- Mazatrol programming experience a plus;
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints;
- Understand basic GD&T call-outs;
- Ability to accurately use standard machinist measuring tools;
- Ability to setup and run “one-off” parts to print efficiently and accurately;
- Must work well under pressure; and
- Excellent team player with organizational and time management skills.
Nonessential Skills and Experience:
- Safety (OSHA, SDS), ANSI (RIA) standards.

- Understand the Company’s EH&S Policy and how it relates to this job;
- Be aware of OSHA & EPA laws and regulations as well as company rules and policies that pertain to this job;
- Work in a safe and environmentally friendly manner and observe all company EH&S procedures;
- Immediately notify the supervisor if there is any safety hazard, any equipment not operating correctly or if there are any questions regarding EH&S procedures; and
- Attend required EH&S training.
