The Licensed Clinical Therapist at Urban Counseling Collective provides compassionate and evidence-based mental health care to diverse patient populations in a hybrid setting. Responsibilities include assessing patients, forming alliances, delivering various therapeutic modalities, and maintaining accurate clinical documentation. As part of the Optum Behavioral Care Team, this role contributes to enhancing healthcare delivery while supporting the holistic needs of patients.

As a Licensed Clinical Therapist / Independent Licensed Therapist, you will treat a wide variety of mental health conditions that reflect the needs of our diverse patient population. 

 

Position Highlights & Primary Responsibilities:

  • Form excellent provider-patient alliances and coordinate care with external providers
  • Screen and assess patients for common mental health disorders
  • Provide treatment for a variety of mental health conditions using treatment approaches including cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, and other evidence-based methods 
  • Systematically track treatment response and monitor patients for changes in clinical symptoms and treatment side effects or complications
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date electronic medical records (Athena) and clinical documentation, ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements

Required Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in psychology, social work, or a related counseling field 
  • Clear, active and unrestricted license (LCSW, LMFT, or LPC) in Oregon

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 2+ years professional social work / clinical experience post Master's degree
  • Experience providing direct psychotherapy services to individuals and families 
  • Experience working with computers for professional communication and medical documentation - Excel, Outlook, Athena RMS (or other EHRs)
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively with equal effectiveness
