Title: Shipping Associate - Swing Shift (10am - 630pm)

Location: Ivyland, PA (Onsite)(Milton Roy - 201 Ivyland Rd. Warminster, PA 18974) 

Pay: $18.50 - $20 per hour Plus 10% shift differential Based on Experience

Job Overview: 
We are currently seeking a collaborative and detailed individual to join our Shipping team. This role will be responsible for preparing and processing outgoing shipments, ensuring the accurate and timely delivery of products to customers or distribution centers, maintaining shipping records, and monitoring inventory levels in a manufacturing facility. A Shipping Associate works with a team to verify and pack orders, label packages, and coordinate with carriers for pickup and delivery while adhering to safety and quality standards. The ideal candidate is consistent, motivated, a great communicator, and can meet deadlines and prioritize multiple projects.

Responsibilities: 
Shipping and Packing:
• Prepare and package materials for shipment based upon guidelines and/or customer instructions
• Ensure packages are properly sealed, labelled, and meet shipping regulations and guidelines
• Keep records of goods that have been shipped using the ERP system (JD Edwards)
• Maintain departmental records such as UPS shipments, package inventories, and packing slips
• Stack and arrange products into crates, boxes, and cartons
• Obtain spare parts and prepare for shipping
• Pull, assemble, and transact kitting work orders
• Meet or exceed production targets and quotas
• Collaborate with team members to optimize workflow and achieve daily and monthly targets
• Complete shipping tasks, use various hand, pneumatic, and power tools such as screwdrivers, wrenches, drills, presses
• Move pumps using cranes and hoists to prepare for shipment
• Verify the accuracy of shipment contents against packing lists and purchase orders
• Prepare shipments for carriers (i.e., UPS, FedEx, LTL and flatbed) and coordinate pickup

Inventory Management:
• Maintain organized inventory in the shipping area
• Monitor stock levels of shipping supplies (boxes, packing materials, labels, etc.) and communicate needs to supervisor
• Report any discrepancies or damaged goods to the appropriate personnel

Documentation:
• Maintain accurate shipping records and documentation, including tracking numbers and delivery confirmation
• Generate shipping labels and packing slips
• Prepare shipping-related paperwork such as bills of lading, packing slips and customs documents if applicable

Communication:
• Communicate with carriers and freight forwarders to schedule pickups and deliveries
• Address customer inquiries or issues related to shipping and delivery

Training and Development:
• Participate in training programs to improve shipping skills and product knowledge
• Attend monthly EHS trainings
• Must obtain and maintain IR certification/license for harness and equipment (Saw, forklift, and scissor lift).
• Follow all policies and procedures (i.e. report on time and ready to work - Start/Lunch/Breaks)

Quality Control:
• Use order pick list to ensure that all parts associated with order are present before packing order
• Inspect products for any defects or damage before packaging
• Ensure that products are packaged securely to prevent damage during transit
• Perform quality checks by established quality procedures and ISO requirements
• Identify and report defects or issues in the assembly process and necessary adjustments or repairs to ensure product quality

Safety Compliance:
• Follow all safety guidelines, including wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE)
• Report any safety hazards or incidents to supervisors promptly
• Lift a maximum of 35 lbs for an individual and 70 lbs for a team lift
• Test PSI limit no greater than 30,000

Cleanliness and Organization:
• Maintain a clean and organized work area
• Follow 5S principles (Sort, Set in order, Shine, Standardize, Sustain)  

Requirements: 
• High School Diploma or GED 

Core Competencies: 
• Experience using various hand, pneumatic, and power tools, such as screwdrivers, wrenches, drills, and presses
•Ability to read and understand the bill of materials and work instructions, blueprints, or technical drawings
•Ability to problem solve, with strong verbal and written communication
•Demonstrated time management skills, strategic thinking, and adaptability

Preferences: 
• 1+ years’ experience in manufacturing or other fast paced operations, preferred
• General computer knowledge (i.e. log on credentials (SSO), JD Edwards, and Microsoft Outlook)
• Ability to lift up to 35lbs

Travel & Work Arrangements/Requirements:
This position will be based at our site in Ivyland, PA no travel.
