Human Resource Coordinator
Position Type: Hourly (Non-Exempt)
Summary:
The Human Resource Coordinator will play a pivotal role in supporting the HR department's operations to ensure a smooth and efficient workflow. This position is responsible for various HR functions, including onboarding, record-keeping, employee relations, and providing administrative support to enhance HR functions and compliance standards. The successful candidate will also receive a company-issued cell phone and laptop to support their role effectively.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Onboarding & Offboarding: Manage the full onboarding and offboarding processes, including preparing and maintaining necessary documentation and conducting orientation sessions.
- Employee Records: Maintain and update employee files and databases with required documentation in accordance with compliance standards.
- HR Administrative Support: Assist in scheduling interviews, coordinating meetings, and managing communications.
- Employee Relations: Act as a liaison for employee inquiries, assist in addressing employee concerns, and provide guidance on HR policies and procedures.
- Policy Compliance: Ensure that HR practices align with company policies and labor laws and update the management team on necessary policy changes.
- Data Reporting: Generate and analyze HR data and reports to monitor metrics such as employee turnover, retention, and engagement.
Requirements: - Education: Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent; additional HR certification or coursework is an advantage.
- Experience: At least 1 year of experience in an HR support role or administrative position, ideally within HR.
- Skills: Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills. Proficient in HRIS, Microsoft Office Suite, and data management.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs): Management will review the HR Coordinator's performance regularly using the following KPIs to ensure alignment with HR standards:
- Onboarding and Retention Rates: Track the number of successfully onboarded employees and measure the retention rate over specified periods.
- Response Time to Employee Inquiries: Average time taken to address employee inquiries or concerns.
- Employee File Accuracy and Compliance: Maintain a 100% compliance rate in employee files, ensuring all required documents are current and correctly filed.
- Attendance and Punctuality in Record-Keeping: Ensure all attendance records, time-off requests, and other documentation are consistently up to date.
- Completion Rate of Assigned Training Modules: Monitor completion and comprehension of any assigned HR training modules to improve HR processes.
- Employee Satisfaction Survey Scores: Biannual employee satisfaction survey scores to gauge HR responsiveness and support.
- HR Process Improvement Suggestions: Actively contribute suggestions for process improvements, documented in quarterly review meetings.
