An employer is looking for a SCADA Engineer for an extended contract opportunity that will be providing functional and technical support for applications and technologies related to the Electric Distribution Operations Centralized Grid Operation Systems including the ADMS. This person will be supporting the Distribution SCADA system by assisting with the point checking of reclosers and substation equipment. They will also be monitoring the communication status between the SCADA system and devices in the field. Other responsibilities include working with outside groups to determine DNP points that are needed for new devices and modeling SCADA devices, including points, alarm configuration, and establishing communications. The ideal candidate will have prior experiences working at an electrical utility company and familiarity with the electrical system. They should also be comfortable with taking initiative on tasks and communicating with a variety of co-workers.

Top Requirements:

• 3-5+ years' experience working for an electrical utility company.
• 3-5+ years' experience building and modeling devices in a SCADA System.
• Professional working experience with an ADMS, DMS, or OMS.

Plusses:

• Experience working in an electric distribution center.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field.
• Familiarity with SQL

Details:

PR: $55-60/hr (possible flexibility)

Shift: 1st Shift Monday- Friday
