Job Description: Real Estate Acquisition Specialist

Location: Tempe, AZ

Employment Type: Full-Time

About Us:

We are a fast-growing, venture-backed iBuyer revolutionizing the real estate market by focusing on sustainable and energy-efficient renovations. Our mission is to transform the housing market by turning outdated properties into green, energy-efficient homes, providing eco-conscious options for buyers and renters alike. As we expand, we’re looking for a detail-oriented and motivated Real Estate Acquisition Specialist to join our team. This role is critical to identifying, evaluating, and securing properties that align with our unique buy box and sustainability-focused mission.

Key Responsibilities:

Property Sourcing & Evaluation:

  • Identify potential properties for acquisition using real estate marketplaces, off-market opportunities, and wholesaler networks.
  • Evaluate properties against the company’s defined buy box criteria, including location, price, size, renovation potential, and energy retrofit feasibility.

Market Analysis:

  • Conduct in-depth market research to identify emerging trends and opportunities in key target areas.
  • Monitor neighborhood and market data to assess property values, renovation ROI, and future market demand.

Due Diligence:

  • Collaborate with the in-market team to analyze property data, including condition reports, title status, and zoning restrictions.
  • Coordinate inspections, appraisals, and environmental assessments to ensure properties meet company standards.

Negotiation & Acquisition:

  • Negotiate purchase agreements and terms with property owners, agents, and brokers.
  • Maintain positive relationships with external stakeholders to source exclusive deals and opportunities.

Collaboration & Reporting:

  • Partner with the renovation and sustainability teams to assess the feasibility of green energy retrofits on potential properties.
  • Maintain detailed records of acquisition activities and provide regular reports on pipeline status, opportunities, and acquisition metrics.

Qualifications:

Experience:

  • 2+ years of experience in real estate acquisition, investment, or related fields. Experience with iBuyers, fix-and-flip models, or sustainable real estate projects is a plus.

Skills:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to assess properties quickly and accurately.
  • Proficiency with real estate technology platforms and property valuation tools.
  • Familiarity with green energy solutions, renovation processes, and sustainable building practices is preferred.

Knowledge:

  • Deep understanding of real estate markets, zoning laws, and permitting processes.
  • Knowledge of energy-efficient renovations, solar panel installations, and sustainable building materials is a bonus.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Real Estate, Business, Sustainability, or a related field is preferred but not required.

What We Offer:

  • Competitive salary with performance-based bonuses.
  • Health, dental, and vision insurance.
  • Paid time off and flexible work arrangements.
  • Opportunity to work with a mission-driven team committed to sustainability and innovation in real estate.
  • Professional growth and development opportunities in a rapidly expanding company.

If you’re passionate about real estate, sustainability, and making a difference in the housing market, we want to hear from you!
