Job Description:
Provide diagnostic ultrasound scans of patients for physician diagnosis, utilizing diagnostic ultrasound equipment and appropriate technical knowledge and skills.
Education Qualifications:
Graduation from a Committee on Allied Health Education (CAHEA) accredited program in sonography and registry eligible by the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS).
Licensure/Certification Qualifications:
Registered by the ARDMS within 1 year of hire.
East Market: Must be certified in Abdomen, OB/GYN, and Vascular within 24 months of hire date. Those staff assigned to work in the Ashland location are not required to obtain Vascular certification.
West/Central Market: Must be certified in one of the following areas within 12 months - Abdomen, OB/GYN, Vascular, Breast or Nuchal Translucency
West: If North Dakota, must have current license on North Dakota Medical Imaging & Radiation Therapy Board of Examiners (NDMIRT) upon hire.
If working in Department 12320 (MSK Ultrasound Program), must complete ARDMS MSK Certification within 24 months.
