We are looking to add a Client Service Consultant to join our Employee Benefits team in St. Louis Park, MN . Offering a forward-thinking, innovative, and vibrant company culture, along with the opportunity to share your unique potential, there really is no place like Holmes!
Essential Responsibilities:
  • Manage client accounts and support internal service team and external partners. Interact with client contacts and vendors independently.
  • Collaborate with client team to set the benefit strategy for clients and coordinate the implementation of new health and welfare benefit plans. Evaluate of the client's current benefits and provide future recommendations to the client.
  • Draft complex Request for Proposals (RFPs) for review by appropriate sales or service team member, make requested edits to RFPs, distribute RFPs to insurance carrier market, ensure timely response by insurance carriers, negotiate with vendors as needed and summarize and analyze insurance carrier proposals.
  • Request health and welfare plan renewals from insurance carriers for each client; file and summarize renewals for each client for review by appropriate Consultant/Senior Consultant; and perform the final review of documents and contracts.
  • Prepare and create materials for presentations and other communications. Responsible for presenting at open enrollment meetings and other client presentations.
  • Communicate daily with insurance companies, vendors and internal teams to ensure proper administration of accounts (including contract concerns, underwriting issues, claim situations, etc.). Follow up on outstanding issues or client requests.
  • Additional responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • Education: High school diploma; college degree preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum 5 years administrative, customer service, or office experience, preferably in the insurance industry (at a brokerage or provider organization).
  • Licensing: Active state specific Life & Health Insurance agent's license required or the ability to acquire license within three months of hire.
  • Technical Competencies: Invests in understanding and applying insurance principles to consult with clients and meet their strategic needs. Actively contributes to workflows, processes, and deliverables, using agency systems to provide a world-class client experience and ensure compliance. Able to understand clients, prioritize tasks, manage status, and deliver impactful solutions proactively.

The salary range for Minnesota residents is $65,600- $109,300. Compensation is based on several factors, including, but not limited to, education, work experience and industry certifications. In addition to your salary, Holmes Murphy offers a comprehensive total rewards program including annual bonuses, total wellbeing benefits and support for professional development.
