Certification Details BLS ACLS PALS Job Details The right candidate MUST HAVE A FULL 2 YEARS OF EXPERIENCE and hold an active BLS, ACLS and an AZ license or compact license. Travelers could also float to the sister facility, Chandler Regional, as needed. COVID vaccine is required or declination form with appropriate documentation AND hospital approval. A dysrhythmia exam is required prior to start (2 max attempts) and a pass/fail Sim Lab is required on Day 1 of orientation (study guides provided with first day instructions). Job Requirements 2 years minimum ER/Trauma experience required. Active BLS certification required. Active ACLS certification required. Active AZ license or compact license required. Schedule Information Start times vary depending on shift (traveler needs to be flexible). Day/Mid shift: 7a-7p, 9a-9p, 10a-10p, 11a-11p, 12p-12a, 1p-1a Night Shift: 3p-3a, 5p-5a, 7p-7a Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend. Must do 2 of 3 holidays during the holiday season. Unit Specific Information Unit: ER Ratios: 1:3-4 Charge Nurse: Yes, and Unit Secretary Nurse Aides: Paramedics: IV's, IV fluids, discharges, tech duties; CNAs: tech duties Floating: Float between Gilbert and Chandler ER (7 miles/15 minutes apart), possibly mid-shifts Floor specific orientation: 2-3 days on floor. Common diagnosis / Types of patients: MVAs, GSW, CVA (Stroke center), MI (CP center), high risk OB, Psych holds, cardioversions, conscious sedation for closed fractures. Additional Details ACLS, BLS, PALS are required. There is a PASS/FAIL Sim Lab on day 1 of orientation (study guides will be provided with first day instructions).
