We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Permanent Accountant to join our dynamic team in the construction industry. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is looking for a challenging role where they can make a significant impact. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing all financial transactions, from fixed payments and variable expenses to bank deposits and budgets. This role requires a professional with a strong understanding of accounting principles, excellent numerical proficiency, and the ability to analyze and present complex financial data.

Responsibilities:

1. Oversee all company accounting practices, including accounting departments, preparing budgets, financial reports, tax, and audit functions.
2. Direct financial strategy, planning, and forecasts; conferring with President, COO, and department heads.
3. Study, analyze and report on trends, opportunities for expansion and projection of future company growth.
4. Prepare accurate and timely financial reports and statements ensuring all financial reporting deadlines are met, both internal and external.
5. Manage the preparation and review of all monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
6. Manage and ensure the accuracy of the General Ledger.
7. Prepare and manage the company's payroll function to ensure accuracy and compliance with financial policies and procedures.
8. Utilize Quickbooks for data entry, reporting, and financial analysis.
9. Oversee the project accounting function to ensure timely and accurate reporting.
10. Prepare all company tax returns and corporate reporting requirements.
11. Develop, implement, and maintain budgeting systems that provide control of expenditures.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
2. Quickbooks software experience
3. Minimum of 5 years of hands-on accounting managerial experience.
4. Thorough knowledge of accounting principles and procedures.
5. Experience with creating financial statements and general ledger functions.
