Farmers Bank and Trust is seeking a detail-oriented Credit Analyst to join our financial services team. In this role, you will be responsible for evaluating credit data and financial statements of individuals or companies to determine the risk involved in lending money or extending credit. You will play a crucial role in the decision making process by providing insights that help manage risk and ensure sound financial practices.

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough financial analysis to assess creditworthiness of applicants.

• Prepare detailed financial reports and present findings to management.

• Perform risk analysis to identify potential issues related to loan processing.

• Engage in equity research to evaluate investment opportunities and market conditions.

• Utilize technical accounting skills to interpret financial statements accurately.

• Manage portfolios by monitoring performance and making recommendations for adjustments.

• Collaborate with other departments to streamline loan processing and improve efficiency.

• Stay updated on industry trends and regulatory changes affecting financial services.

Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience in finance, accounting or other business related fields and 2 years of practical experience.

• Familiarity with risk analysis techniques and methodologies.

• Strong mathematical skills for accurate data interpretation and reporting.

• Experience with financial software tools that enhance analysis capabilities.

• Knowledge of portfolio management principles is a plus.

• Excellent written communication skills for effective financial report writing.

• Previous exposure to loan processing procedures is desirable.
