Aspirus Corporate Office in Wausau, WI is seeking a MANAGER OF IDENTITY AND ACCESS MANAGEMENT - SYSTEM INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY to join our team!


The Manager of Identity and Access Management is responsible for improving the overall maturity and sustainability of the Identity and Access Management department. This includes serving as the expert in IAM in setting strategic direction and leading operational execution of IAM programs across Aspirus Health. This role combines technical expertise with process leadership to ensure secure, efficient, scalable access management that enables continued organizational growth. Direct and oversee IAM operations, projects, and team members while collaborating across IT and business units to mature our identity management capabilities.


HOURS: Full-Time or 1.0 FTE, 80 hours every 2 weeks. Fully onsite presence required at our Wausau Corporate Office.


Experience/Qualifications

  • Knowledge of information systems development, systems implementation, project management, and leadership normally acquired through completion of a Bachelor's degree in science, technology, math, or engineering, or an appropriate combination of academic training and relevant professional experience. Healthcare experience preferred but not required
  • 5+ years of enterprise-scale Identity and Access Management experience, with 2+ years in a leadership role
  • IAM related certifications preferred (e.g., CISSP, CISM, CIAM)
  • Deep knowledge of IAM technologies, frameworks, and best practices including directory services, SSO, PAM, and identity lifecycle management
  • Demonstrated creative problem-solving abilities and innovative approach to IAM challenges
  • Track record of continuous improvement mindset and process optimization
  • Experience leading process improvement initiatives with demonstrated LEAN methodology expertise
  • Strong documentation and project management skills with demonstrated success in cross-functional program delivery
  • Excellent proactive communication and stakeholder management abilities
  • Experience with compliance frameworks (HIPAA, SOX, NIST), and security audits

Aspirus Wausau Hospital is the flagship of the Aspirus system that serves patients in 14 counties across northern and central Wisconsin, as well as the Upper Peninsula of Michigan.
