BASIC PURPOSE: The primary purpose of this position is : Provides assistance to the Supervisory staff on daily operations and is experienced in all Inventory Control job functions and processes. Responsible for identifying obstacles or inefficiencies that might impede productivity and bring them to resolution through problem solving efforts. Directs staff on a daily basis, prioritizes workload and makes adjustments as necessary to maintain inventory integrity.
Essential functions include but not limited to:

• Research and maintain inventory integrity.
• Directs inventory control workforce on a daily basis.
• Prioritizes the department's daily workload to ensure that all essential duties are completed as directed by the department supervisor.
• Process warehouse returns to vendors and assist Buying department with new, discontinued and return to vendor items.
• Review and analyze inventory discrepancies, product rotation and receiving issues and resolve utilizing available warehouse systems.
• Provide support to Operations Selection and Slotting departments.
• Responsible for investigating and reporting miscellaneous quality control issues.
• Complete Inventory Control reports.
• Perform audits as required.

Candidate qualifications: High School diploma/GED; 1 ½ - 2 years experience needed;knowledge of Warehouse Management System; must be excellent with numbers; knowledge of CRT and PC literate; working knowledge of shipping procedures; must be expert in the receiving department operation; knowledge of EXE Technology WMS systems and HK systems interface; basic Word and Excel skills; and knowledge of Microsoft computer applications - Assonet, MA
1st Shift , overtime required, weekends required.
The starting pay rate for this position is $21.85/hr and will be commensurate with experience as well as internal equity.
