Ready to join? We are seeking a full-time Appointment Coordinator (IME/WC) to be based at our corporate office near Oak Brook, IL. Candidate will have the ability to work a hybrid schedule. Training will be 8 weeks onsite at the corporate office.
Responsibilities - The ability to really listen to customers to provide great service.
- Clear communication skills via phone and email.
- Thorough knowledge of the Midwest Orthopaedics policies and protocols.
- Strong time management skills.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to any changes and revisions presented.
- Excellent phone and data entry skills.
- Experience in communications with customer service professionals that includes insurance adjusters, attorneys-law firms, nurse case managers, etc... to obtain authorization for patients with work related injuries.
- Booking, coordinating and rescheduling patient appointments
- Answering telephone calls, screening calls, and maintaining current physician schedules. This position is very busy with a high volume of calls.
- Excellent organization and prioritization skills are required.
- The successful candidate must be able to meet deadlines and assist other team members when necessary.
- Superior customer service skills are needed to excel in this position.
Ability to: - Operate basic office equipment such as a computer, phone and fax machine.
- Multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Attention to detail.
- Communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
- Work and communicate with patients, physicians and staff in all levels of the organization.
- Work a flexible schedule to meet the needs of the department.
Education and/or Experience - High school diploma or general education degree (GED);
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
- Experience in WC/IME is a plus.
