Established in 1980, the Greater Lawrence Family Health Center, Inc. (GLFHC) is a multi-site, mission-driven, non-profit organization employing over 700 staff whose primary focus is providing the highest quality patient care to a culturally diverse population throughout the Merrimack Valley. Nationally recognized as a leader in community medicine (family practice, pediatrics, internal medicine, and geriatrics), GLFHC has clinical sites in Lawrence, Methuen, and Haverhill and is the sponsoring organization for the Lawrence Family Medicine Residency program.
GLFHC is currently seeking a Patient Access Educator. The Patient Access Trainer is responsible for the development, maintenance and delivery of training material on front-end functionalities of the Practice Management System, including to but not limited to scheduling, registration, insurance eligibility, benefit verification, time of service collections, and sliding fee discount program.
- Develop curriculum and conduct training for new and existing staff on the GE Centricity system for Patient Service Representatives, Call Center Representatives, Referral Specialists, Patient Accounts Representatives, Clinical Coordinators and Community Health Worker staff and other departments as requested.
- Develop and maintain detailed policy and procedure manuals (electronic and paper) including functional flow diagrams for all patient revenue cycle functions and ensure training is conducted for all changes and/or updates.
- Prepares and delivers presentations in person including demonstrations, train-the-trainer and end user classes and special training courses as needed.
- In collaboration with Human Resources, rolls out training schedule for the year in coordination with new hire schedule.
- Creates, updates and maintains policy and procedure and training manuals of the Centricity system to support all patient access areas.
- Ongoing work with the IS department on resolving issues for insurance eligibility via Centricity.
- Designated CAC (Certified Application Counselor) lead trainer for the MA Health Care Connector for all PSR's, PSS and CSS staff. Coordinates online certification training with the state including notification of terminations. Communicates changes and regulatory updates to all CAC's. Updates all MH applications, forms and FAQ on Connect
Requirements Qualifications: - Bilingual in English & Spanish.
- Three to five years' experience in health care.
- Experience with computerized billing Systems, knowledge of GE Centricity PM preferable.
- Proficient with Windows, Excel and PowerPoint.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills.
