Job Summary
The Lawndale Elementary School District is looking for a reliable, hard-working applicant to work at our Reception desk. This is a full-time, 12-month, 8-hour-per-day Confidential position that accumulates 12 paid sick days and 20 paid vacation days per fiscal year. In addition, LESD pays 100% for employee health/welfare benefits (medical, dental, vision, etc.). Dependents are at the employee's cost. Requirements / Qualifications
Minimum requirements: Any combination equivalent to graduation from high school, one year of receptionist, and general clerical experience. Knowledge of basic computer skills including MS Word, Excel, and Google/Google Docs. Type at 45 words net per minute from clear copy. Bilingual Spanish/English preferred. * 5-minute typing certificate indicating 45 wpm or better (net) dated within 12 months
Typing certificates can be obtained from a recognized employment agency, business college, adult school, or online (the test must be a 5-minute test, and the certificate should include your full name and net words per minute dated within the last 12 months. Current LESD employees should submit a Reassignment Request form along with an updated resume, high school diploma or higher degree, and typing certificate (dated within 12 months) verifying 45 wpm (net) to Human Resources before the closing date/time. Substitutes must apply on Edjoin.
