Summary
At the direction of a radiologist and/or other providers, prepares patients, performs imaging procedures and operates imaging equipment. Performs
diagnostic studies according to specific guidelines and prescribed protocols while utilizing appropriate radiation protection measures. Adheres to
organizational customer service standards and supports the organizational excellence initiatives. Provides positive and effective interaction and
communication with patients, visitors, and staff. Performs ancillary services and assists in patient care areas as necessary. Responsible for
performing all CT, Diagnostic X-ray, and Point of Care Lab Testing. Other duties as assigned. Responsibilities
2. DIAGNOSTIC X-RAY: Performs radiologic/fluoroscopic procedures accurately and efficiently with the least amount of discomfort to the patient.
Provides radiation protection to self and patients in accordance with ALARA and follows other prescribed safety standards (OSHA, PPE, hand
washing etc.). CT: Performs routine and 'special' CT examinations according to manufacturer, medical/department standards and protocols, and
within proper guidelines of radiation safety, ALARA and OSHA standards, as well as meeting quality requirements
