- The Registered RCP, as credentialed by the National Board for Respiratory Care and licensed by the State of Oregon, shall be knowledgeable and proficient in performance of all Respiratory Care procedures and protocols including (but not limited to) CPAP/BiPAP, chest physiotherapy, aerosol therapy, oxygen therapy, incentive spirometry, ventilator management, pulmonary screens, hemodynamic monitoring, pulse oximetry and the set-up and use of a variety of monitoring systems. He/she may also be involved in other areas (ie. pulmonary function testing, SCNY, endoscopy, etc.) dependent upon demonstrated interest by the RCP and the needs of the department. He/she shall also be involved in departmental education programs, performance improvement programs, new projects and programs as requested, adhere to departmental quality, productivity and performance standards, provide input into annual capital equipment and operations budgets as requested, as well as other responsibilities as deemed appropriate by the RC Manager and/or Critical Care Director.
Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalency is mandatory; successful completion of a minimum of two (2) years of college education including Associate degree or Bachelor degree is preferred.
- One (1) year experience required.
- Must be a Registered Respiratory Care Practitioner as recognized by the NBRC.
- Must provide evidence of valid Oregon license to practice as an RCP.
- BLS from the AHA required upon hire.
