    Job Details
  • RN Clinical Documentation Specialist - Remote
  • Ensures that physician documentation of the patient's diagnosis and treatment is consistent with the Medicare Diagnostic Related Group.
  • Reviews numerous facets of the chart to determine if documentation present reflects the complexity of the patient and his/her resource consumption for the hospital stay.
    Job Requirements
  • Accredited School of Nursing Required: Nursing.
  • Minimum of 5 years Preferred: Five years clinical experience.
  • Minimum of 3 years Required: Three years recent clinical experience in an acute care setting.
  • Required: Registered Nurse in state of practice.
    Schedule Information
  • 1.00 FTE, Day position
  • NO auto offers
  • NO on call required.
    Unit Specific Information
  • Participating in continued education as needed to deepen understanding of Diagnostic Related Groups (DRGs).
  • Collaborating with coding professionals when questions arise.
