  • Charge coverage: Pending operational needs, unit charge nurse responsibilities may be needed with provided training and resources.
  • IU Health is now offering charge pay, which is a $3.00 bill rate bump per hour.
  • Minimum Experience Required: 3+ Years Required.
  • Unit is Medical Surgical, directly adjacent to the Emergency Department.
  • Patient Diagnoses: Medical Surgical Only; COVID, Abd pain, resp destress, and any symptom based that requires further work up.
    Job Requirements
  • IN STATE LICENSE / REQUIRED CERTS MUST BE IN HAND TO SUB
  • First Time travelers Accepted: No
  • Weekend Requirement: every other
  • Shift Requirement: 3x12s ONLY
  • Locals accepted? No
  • Skillset Requirements: Required – Med/Surg; Starting IVs, Nasal Cannula. Preferred – Interpretation and Management of dysrhythmias, previous charge experience. CERNER REQUIRED
  • Floating Requirements: Yes

  • Unit is Medical Surgical, directly adjacent to the Emergency Department.
    Additional Details
  • Effective 9/1, the COVID vaccine is required for all travelers at IU Health campuses. Declinations will not be accepted; however medical or religious exemptions will be accepted with a doctor's note provided.
  • Effective 11/30/24, IU Health will not allow IN RN’s to work at their facilities (SEE EXCEPTIONS BELOW). Periop/OR RN’s, Allied and Ambulatory RN travelers are exempt from this rule.
