Sonographer / Ultrasound Tech Responsibilities: Perform diagnostic sonographic procedures for patients as ordered with ultrasound equipment for the radiologist to interpret. Understands anatomy and physiology of the human body and the disease process, where applicable to ultrasound. Assist physician in such procedures as breast biopsies, paracentesis, thoracentesis. Correlates the ultrasound exam with other tests and preparations to best pronounce the disease process. Daytime hours Sonographer / Ultrasound Tech Requirements: Completed approved American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (ARDMS) Pathway. Preferred registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer through American Registry for Diagnostic Sonography (ARDMS). Preferred registered Vascular Technologist (RVT).
