Warranty Clerk

The Warranty Clerk is responsible for working closely with the Warranty Manager for warranty-related claims and documentation for the dealership's service department. This position involves ensuring that warranty claims are accurately processed, submitted in a timely manner, and compliant with manufacturer policies and dealership standards. The Warranty Clerk acts as a liaison between the service department, manufacturers, and customers to facilitate the warranty process.
Responsibilities

• Accurately prepare and submit warranty claims to manufacturers or third-part providers.
• Ensure all warranty claims are submitted within required timeframes and meet manufacturer guidelines.
• Review repair orders and invoices to ensure that all work completed under warranty is properly documented and eligible for reimbursement.
• Follow up on outstanding warranty claims and track their status to ensure timely resolution.
• Ensure that all required documentation, including parts used, labor hours, and customer details, are complete and accurate for each claim.
• Work closely with service advisors, technicians, and management to gather necessary information for warranty claims.

Skills and Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; additional coursework or certifications in automotive or business administration is a plus.
• Previous experience as a warranty clerk, service advisor, or in an automotive service environment preferred.
• Knowledge of automotive repair and warranty procedures is highly desirable.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in processing claims and documentation.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work well under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Proficiency in using computer systems, and dealership software.
