We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Legal Secretary for a part-time position with a reputable law firm in the bay area. The ideal candidate will demonstrate proficiency in e-filing, calendaring, and general administrative support in a legal environment. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a strong skill set in legal administrative support to contribute to a collaborative team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage electronic court filings (e-filing) efficiently for state and/or federal courts.
- Coordinate and maintain attorney schedules, including calendaring deadlines, meetings, and court dates.
- Prepare, proofread, and format legal documents, correspondence, and pleadings.
- Handle incoming calls, emails, and client communications professionally.
- Maintain and organize physical and electronic files.
- Handle other administrative duties as needed to support attorneys and the legal team.
Qualifications:
- Prior experience as a Legal Secretary, Legal Assistant, or similar role in a legal environment.
- Proficiency in e-filing procedures in local, state, and federal courts.
- Strong calendaring skills, with the ability to track deadlines and manage conflicting schedules.
- High attention to detail with excellent organizational and multitasking skills.
- Proficiency in legal software and tools such as (insert relevant software, e.g., Microsoft Office, Clio, Adobe Acrobat, etc.).
- Strong written and verbal communication skills required.
- Ability to work independently and handle confidential information with discretion.
