Distribution Operations Supervisors manage the day-to-day operation of our 24/7, 362, 500,000 sq. ft. refrigerated warehouse in Jessup, MD. Some responsibilities include:

· Drive and achieve targeted supply chain metrics to deliver the right product, in the right condition, at the right time, at the right cost.

· Maintain a high awareness in keeping a safe work environment and safe work culture through daily communication with our associates and management team. Safety must be a consistent message through education, correction, encouragement and recognition.

· Monitor and adjust associate staffing levels and schedules to meet customer volume demands and seasonal volume fluctuations. Partner with human resources to proactively meet these demands in hiring and training associates in a timely manner.

· Ensure strict associate adherence to all engineered labor standards.

· Accountable for the consistent application and support of all policies and procedures including attendance, progressive discipline, application of benefits, associate programs etc. Model behavior consistent with DC leadership role.

Must have supervisor experience in a production, warehousing and / or distribution setting. Here at Giant Food, we are a 24/7 business so long hours will be required including rotating schedule and some weekends and holidays. We offer a great work life balance with 3 days off weekly. Eligible for yearly bonus and paid holidays.

Starting salary between $68K-$76K a year plus a potential 10% bonus. this is a 2nd shift position (11am/12noon start time) Weekends are required.
