Summary:
Housing Navigators play a vital role in supporting the agency's mission by providing high-quality housing navigation, deposits, tenancy, and sustaining services to individuals authorized by Managed Care Plans (MCPs). They also deliver community housing support services and collaborate with local homeless service systems, MCPs, and Enhanced Care Management (ECM) providers. Reporting to the Program Manager, Housing Navigators must have experience in housing and homelessness services, knowledge of HUD funding and regulations, and strong communication and organizational skills to excel in a managed care setting.
Job Description:
- Provided housing navigation services, including assessments, individualized housing plans, securing resources, and assisting with applications for supportive and subsidized housing to help clients achieve permanent housing stability.
- Conducted housing unit inspections, facilitated landlord/tenant mediations, and educated clients on landlord/tenant rights to ensure compliance with Housing Quality Standards (HQS) and maintain housing retention.
- Supported clients in accessing healthcare, education, employment services, and community resources, while addressing barriers to improve quality of life and promote recovery.
- Maintained accurate documentation in HMIS, Salesforce, and housing charts, ensuring compliance with HUD standards, program contracts, and agency guidelines.
Qualifications:
- Candidates must reside in Sacramento county and have experience working with housing resources in the county.
- Experience with one of the following or multiple: Case Management/Housing Navigation Experience
- Bachelor's Degree (ideally in SW, Psychology, or Sociology) with 2 years of experience in the space OR 4+ years of direct experience in the space with NO bachelors degree
Schedule:
- Monday - Friday: 8am - 3pm (with 1 hour lunch)
- 30 hours per week
Pay: $25-$30/hr
