Job Description

We are hiring for a Production Specialist for one of our clients in Georgetown, KY . It’s a permanent/direct hire opportunity with benefits .

Pay Range: $55-60k Annually!




Job Duties/Responsibilities:

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

· Adhere to all safety rules and regulations and ensure these safety requirements are being followed by departmental employees.

· Ensure all production related activities are completed on-time and in compliance.

· Create the departmental production schedule to ensure customer orders are incorporated into the schedule and delivery requirements are met.

· Verify quality of product. Identify and track any defects and lead Production in the daily scrap review and investigation with Quality to determine root cause for those issues.

· Actively participate in process for achieving production efficiency and productivity. Participate in Yamazumi and Kaizen events as needed.

· Maintain Skills Evaluation Matrix for Injection team members

· Communicate with Materials team to ensure materials are available when needed

· Manage finished goods inventory. Lead inventory tracking activities within department

· Help ensure machine uptime. Assist in problem solving with Quality

· Manage departmental objectives. Recommend processes and improvements to achieve these goals.

· Manage departmental budgets by tracking production costs. Recommend processes and improvements to reduce costs.

· Manage changes and communication throughout department to ensure proper workflow. This includes need for disciplinary action, shift handoff meetings, team member issues, etc.

· Motivate, support, and provide guidance to Production team members in Injection.

· Maintain employee attendance records and PTO approvals

· Maintain 5S of department.

Education and Experience

· High school diploma or general education degree (GED).

· Five plus years related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
