ManTech is seeking a motivated, career and customer-oriented Systems Engineer Test & Evaluation, Situational Awareness Boundary Enforcement & Response (SABER) to join our team in Dahlgren, VA.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Providing technical, engineering, and analytical services for Test and Evaluation (T&E) of Situational Awareness, Boundary Enforcement & Response (SABER) for navigation system software.
- Evaluating system-level requirements, writing test cases, scenarios, and procedures to assess operational capabilities defined by system requirements and mission threads.
- Executing test procedures, analyzing data, and creating detailed trouble reports to assist system developers and subject matter experts in understanding and recreating identified problems, and evaluating impacts on system capabilities.
- Collaborating with a contractor/government-integrated test team to provide backup data, research, and analysis to support test findings and recommendations for software certification.
Minimum Qualifications:
- 4+ years of experience and knowledge of Combat System or Weapons Systems performing Test & Evaluation
- Computer Software Engineering experience in at least one of the following areas: Test requirements definition, Test plan/procedures development, maintenance, and execution, Test data reduction, automation, and analysis, Computer program performance analysis and reporting
- Experience with developmental or operational systems/computer program versions used in the past seven (7) years, specifically with real-time Naval tactical and related support computer programs
- Experience with cybersecurity situational awareness, boundary enforcement, and response for Navy systems
- Ability to travel approximately 20% of the time to locations such as John Hopkins Applied Physics Laboratory (APL) in Laurel, MD, and Wallops Island, VA, for meetings and test events. Flexibility for short-notice travel is required.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field
- Previous experience with navigation systems
- Solid understanding of system software development
- Knowledge of shipboard operations and procedures
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Clearance Requirements:
- US Citizenship required and an active Secret clearance
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to remain stationary for 50% of the time
- Occasional movement within the office for communication and accessing resources
