Job Title: Account Manager – (Entertainment Industry Experience Only)

Position Overview:
The Account Manager at Legion Creative is a key client-facing role, responsible for building and maintaining strong relationships with assigned client partners across the entertainment industry. This position requires a strategic mindset and the ability to deliver exceptional service while identifying new business opportunities within existing accounts. The ideal candidate has a proven track record in entertainment and digital marketing (ideally with experience running a retainer), excellent communication skills, and a passion for driving client success and agency growth.
Key Responsibilities:
Client Relationship Management:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned client retainer, fostering trust and rapport.
- Deeply understand client goals, needs, and challenges, acting as a proactive partner in their success.
- Regularly meet with clients to provide updates, gather feedback, and identify opportunities to strengthen the relationship.
- Maintain a proactive account management/production lens, projecting hurdles and effectively crafting solutions to stay ahead.
- Report to the Department Leads to set and communicate broader client/project goals to the team.
Business Development:
- Identify and pursue growth opportunities within assigned account, working collaboratively with internal teams to pitch and win new projects.
- Partner with clients to understand their long-term goals and propose innovative ways Legion Creative can add value.
- Build account plans to strategically expand partnerships, consistently delivering on revenue targets.
- Collaborate with the account and leadership team to identify cross-sell or upsell opportunities across other departments.
Project Oversight:
- Work closely with coordinators, strategists, and creatives to ensure deliverables meet client expectations.
- Monitor project timelines, budgets, and overall performance, addressing potential issues proactively.
- Act as the voice of the client within internal discussions, advocating for their goals while balancing agency priorities.
- Review and approve key project milestones, ensuring alignment with the client’s vision.
Brainstorm and Ideation:
- Actively participate in internal brainstorming sessions, contributing fresh ideas that align with client goals and campaign objectives.
- Research trends, audience insights, and competitive benchmarks to bring informed perspectives to creative discussions.
- Lead the organization and preparation of brainstorm materials, ensuring sessions run smoothly and efficiently.
- Document brainstorm outcomes and help translate ideas into actionable next steps for the team.
Production
- Work in collaboration with your Department Leads to define, maintain, and execute project scope and timelines from planning through execution on core projects. Work closely with the creative team - disseminating client feedback and maintaining efficient production workflows across titles.
- Communicate the overall health of the assigned account and project to your manager and senior leadership.
- Work with your Department leads to define and lead weekly call agendas, provide updates on the status of a title, review the status of production and plan next steps.
- Build out detailed production schedules, working with Strategy and Creative leads to ensure there are no bottlenecks on the design floor, spotting potential problems and providing solutions ahead of time.
- Keep all PM tools up to date and consistent across the board.
- Ensure you're projecting accurately to allow for leadership to check profitability on any job.
- Continue to gain experience in building out scope of work documents, thinking strategically at how best to build them out based on the production timelines internally, and client needs externally.
- Provide rationale and thinking behind decisions.
Team Collaboration:
- Partner with creative and strategy teams to develop concepts and campaign proposals tailored to client objectives.
- Provide clear direction to production teams to ensure efficient execution of projects.
- Facilitate regular internal check-ins to ensure alignment on deliverables and deadlines.
HR
- Responsible for training and onboarding junior team members, supervising coordinators, production assistants, and interns to projects
- Delegate and understand how to strategically divide responsibilities across jobs
- Manage junior team members' growth: leading weekly check-ins, evaluating goals + milestones and working with the account lead to conduct performance reviews of any direct reports.
Finance
- Manage project budget and financials, tracking expenses and ensuring projects are delivered within budget.
- Ensure that we are meeting our contribution targets
- Identify and implement cost-saving measures to improve profitability.
- Review financial reports and forecasts on a daily/weekly basis to ensure project health.
- Communicate the overall health of assigned accounts and projects to the Director/Team Principal and HOD.
- Ensure adherence to internal spreadsheet templates for managing project budgets.
- Collaborate with the Department Leads to address any project-related concerns.
- Flag issues promptly to allow sufficient time for project impact.
- Maintain up-to-date information in Harvest, Forecast, and Smartsuite.
- Follow all processes and protocols to ensure accurate data entry.
- Ensure that we are meeting our contribution targets.

Qualifications:
- 3–5 years of experience in account management, production, client services, or business development, preferably in the entertainment or digital marketing industry.
- Proven ability to build and nurture strong client relationships.
- A strategic thinker with a track record of growing revenue within existing accounts.
- Strong understanding of digital and social marketing trends, with the ability to translate them into actionable strategies.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking skills, with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal.
Preferred Skills:
- Familiarity with project management tools (e.g., Monday.com, Trello, Frame.io).
- Knowledge of entertainment marketing, including social media, digital campaigns, and integrated strategies.
- Experience negotiating contracts and managing budgets.
