We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Finance Manager to oversee the financial health of our organization. The ideal candidate will be responsible for financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and analysis to drive strategic decision-making. This role requires a strong understanding of accounting principles, compliance standards, and business operations.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
- Manage all accounting transactions
- Assist in the preparation of financial reports such as financial statements and budget performance
- Reconciling the company’s bank statements and bookkeeping ledgers
- Aid in the implementation of new accounting policies, standards, and guidelines
- Ensure compliance with applicable standards (i.e. GAAP, FASB), rules, regulations, and systems of internal control
- Assist in month-end closing, prepare journal entries as necessary, analyze inventory evaluation, inventory roll forward
- Prepare, analyze, and report gross margin analyses by product
- Analyze cost accounting data and assist with cycle count/physical inventories
- Prepare detailed account analysis and reconcile sales, cost, and inventory, liability accounts by customer type by division
- Analyze labor, material, inventory, and purchase price variances and work to reduce costs and create lean manufacturing processes
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance
- Ability to apply knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles & Cost Accounting Standards
- Must be able to adapt to new and different computer programs and software to enable efficient data gathering and analysis
- Ability to research, compile, analyze, and interpret data
- Good written, verbal communication and collaborative skills
- Proficiency in Excel and Microsoft Office products
- Experience with QuickBooks and/or NetSuite or related ERP Software
- Ability to analyze and reconcile complex accounts and reserves
- Strong organizational and communicational skills
